The Beach
Recently I went to Sea Pines. There we rented a two bedroom apartment that was a reasonable distance from the beach club. The beach was pretty empty until around lunchtime. the waves were small but you could still use them to boogie board and such. We rented two bikes that me and dad used to get around while kevin and mom used the van. I took tennis lessons while I was up there. One day we kayaked up the ocean. We found a little salt water marsh. We decided to kayak up it and found out that it was just like a maze inside. eventaully when we got far in we got stuck. We managed to get free and left the marsh. On the way back this dolphin swam close to us. Another day we walked through the nature preserve. At the end there was a big lake. In the lake there was a turtle that thinks he is being fed no matter what. I found out that if you pretend to feed him he will believe he is being fed. Those were the highlights of my vacation.

Hanging Rock
Recently I went on a campout with Pop-pop. We went to a state park in north carolina called hanging rock state park. It had five waterfalls, three mountain trails leading to a landmark of some sort, a swimming lake, and a trail that lead from the mountains to the west all the way to the atlantic sea pass through the park. The best part was hanging rock itself. You could see all of the sorrounding landscapes. I enjoyed it

Summer Camp
Recently Our troop went to summer camp at a place called woodruff scout reservation. You can check out the website at http://wsr.atlantabsacamp.org/home.asp. The activities were fun but the food was bad and I got very a very small amount of sleep. One night It stormed and all of the tents were leaking. The next day it was beautiful weather. We went white water rafting that day. Later I went fishing with some friends. The fish wouldn't bite but the snapping turtles were. That ended the fishing trip. The next night the had a fire works show. Then the next morning we left.
